For 25 years I've been an experimental computer animator and artist, I've made many films, won a Prix Ars Electronica and worked with Peter Gabriel and Tangerine Dream on music videos and concert visuals.

But early in 2021, coders managed to get a neural network called CLIP 'talking' to another neural network called VQGan. To put simply, it allows us to use text prompts as an input to guide a high quality, infinitely expressive image creation process.

The Eurasian golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus) or simply golden oriole, is the only member of the Old World oriole family of passerine birds breeding in Northern Hemisphere temperate regions. It is a summer migrant in Europe and western Asia and spends the winter season in central and southern Africa. The male is striking in the typical oriole black and yellow plumage, but the female is a drabber green bird.
