Description

I started a SaaS with my best friend from university. We had complementary skills—he was the coder, I was the seller. We were so sure of our success that we didn't bother with a proper vesting agreement or contract because "we trust each other." Six months in, the grind got tough. He lost interest and stopped coding, but he still owned 50% of a company that couldn't move forward without him. We were deadlocked. I had to dissolve the company. It cost me a year of my life, thousands of dollars in legal fees, and almost cost me the friendship.
