Description
Authority and its companion piece Merged with Authority are two of my Felix Nussbaum based works. Both pieces are essentially blends of two or more of Nussbaum's paintings with additional editing following the mergers. I seldom disclose themes but these two works had a definite common theme that I would like to divulge. Both images refer to the police as the authority figure. In Authority, Nussbaum's father cautiously evades authority. In the latter one, he manages a tentative coexistence.
