CHAOS MASK

A digital re-imagining of my graphite drawing by the same name. This piece is a meditation on the nature of consciousness, and its relation to the problem of free will in a universe that seems reducible to physical laws. I speculated on another plane of existence where consciousness resides, a pervading field like the electromagnetic spectrum. Infinite beings of consciousness that occasionally took the plunge into the physical universe. The laws of nature seemed complete before the discovery of the electromagnetic spectrum, with only a few nagging complications – just as it does now. So what huge discovery will shift the way we see the universe next?
