This gorgeous fireball during the Geminids meteor shower is recorded with the American Meteor society, whom tract the trajectory and compile data from such special sightings like this. This was taken at Barrier Lake in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. To witness this was completely magical, and the people around the lake collectively gasped as it lit up the night.
