This is my first AI animation piece I am proud and excited to make available. For 25 years I've been an experimental computer animator and artist, I've made many films, won a Prix Ars Electronica and worked with Peter Gabriel and Tangerine Dream on music videos and concert visuals. But early in 2021, coders managed to get a neural network called CLIP 'talking' to another neural network called VQGan. To put simply, it allows us to use text prompts as an input to guide a high quality, infinitely expressive image creation process. It puts the artist back in the picture as a central expressive voice, giving AI art a soul and humanity, which was never really there before. This is the medium I have been waiting for.
