We are trying to solve an internal problem (fulfillment/peace) with external solutions (career paths). It doesn't work. Whether it is faith (like Jesus mentioned in the tweet), philosophy, or a deep dedication to family/community—you need an anchor outside of your work. If your identity is 100% tied to your career performance, you are emotionally fragile. The only people I know who are truly happy in any of the above careers are the ones who know that their job is what they do, not who they are.
